The interconnected challenges of our time demand immediate, cooperative action.” বেইজিং হচ্ছে প্রথম শহর যেখানে আর্থ আওয়ারের জন্য রিহার্সালের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। বলিউডের অভিনেতা আমির খান এই মহৎ কর্মসূচীর জন্য ভারতের মুম্বাই ও দিল্লির দূত হয়েছেন। আমাদের বাংলাদেশেও এই কর্মসূচীটি পালন করা উচিৎ। অনেকেই বলতে পারে, আমাদের পালানো না পালানোতে কি আসে যায়। আমরাতো সারা বছর পালন করি।

কথাটি যৌক্তিক। কিন্তু বিশ্বনেতৃত্বকে জানাতে হলেতো একটা উপলক্ষ্য দরকার। আর আমাদের এই বাতি নিভিয়ে রাখানোতেই নির্ভর করছে কিয়োটো প্রটোকলের ভবিষ্যৎ। তাই আসুন আমি, আমরা, সবাই এই অভিনব প্রতিবাদে অংশগ্রহন করি। অন্যকে উদ্ভুদ্ধ করি।
