Islam is one of the great monotheistic religion of the world. It accepts not only Muhammad (pbuh) but also Abraham. Moses and jesus as its prophet. the value of Islam is mercy, kindness, religious tolerance and social justice. The US and west seems to be engaged in a battle against Islam. I am really surprised why the western perception of Islam is so negative? There are so many perception they believe in. But the most commons are- 1. Islam & violence go hand in hand 2. Islamic-Facism will destroy them 3. Islam & democracy are totally incompatible I will try my best to focus on these three above mentioned matters- 1. It is an indisputable fact of life that violence breed violence. Today, when we opens a newspaper or switches on television set, we would find that the violence was done by the name of war on terror in many muslim country. The west is forcing the muslims to make clash for their survival. All of these violence was caused by the biased behaviour of west. 2. Islam is a world religion and Facism is a political ideology. It is definitely not an islamic concept. But there have indeed been christian facism like Hitler, Mussolini & Franco. Emperor Constantaine made christianity the official religion of Roman empire, millions of people were killed in the name of christianity and western civilization. 3. Islam & Democracy are simply incompatible- this view does'nt take this consideration the fact that there are many muslims countries like Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh etc where democratic system is functioning well. In these countries government is giving equal rights to all citizens & has been modernised. The west is leading us to the way of violence- they don't want to let us know the fact. At last i will quote a speech from a person who have realisecd this fact- "One could advise the west to lead the world by the power of its example not by the example of its power."-Former American President Bill Clinton! Bravo Clinton! But what have you done!
